| Funny how the screen writer was SOOOO interested in "getting it right" that he only told the story of the first third of the the book "We were soldiers once...and young". What the film fails to tell us is the massacre of the US soldiers at LZ Albany a day later. The 2nd 7th was ambushed while marching to a second pick-up landing zone. It was a route. As the title "We were soldiers" implies, the movie only tells part of the story "We were soldiers once...and young". More American propaganda. |
