When we liberated the nazi concentration camps we made the local civilians line up outside the camps and forced them to see the evil carried out in their name. Then the german women were raped by the liberating soldiers, after all they were complicit in the eyes of the soldiers.

I have reread my comment and interperated loosely it might seem like I was justifying rape. Let me just, for the record, say I am strongly antirape of anyone no matter what they've done. Also, for the record, there HAVE been many children in gitmo and also many (most?) people there are not enemy combatants (POW) but innocent civilians. Gitmo is where it is because it would all be illegal in the US- held without trial and tortured too?

This video doesn't show torture, abuse, rape, or anything really. What it does show is that people there tried to talk to this prisoner and all he could do was hide his face and say that they don't care about him.

Are you really that fucking stupid? The government released this video why would they release a video that proved they use illegal interrogation methods? It is known that the government DOES use the type of interrogation shown in the video first if that fails to produce results then they move on to more aggressive forms of interrogation IE torture.

No I'm not stupid but, apparently you are. The government does not HAVE to release ANY video(s). Just like they did not release the existence of the spy plane, SR-71, B1-B, the stealth fighter, and others until they were ready and had something else better.
I think we SHOULD use whatever means necessary to extract information from these radicals and keep America safe. In war time laws are different from peace time otherwise shooting someone in battle would be murder.

Do you not know anything about torture? It doesn't work in fact it has the opposite effect. Let me explain when people endure such stresses they are likely to say anything in order to have such stresses relieved. Information they give is most likely unreliable and leads US down the wrong path. Not to mention there has been absolutely no information that's resulted from the interrogations.

Also you claim these radicals are being detained, that's just inherently untrue. A good number of detainees they actually aren't sure of crimes they've committed or exactly why they are there. Rather they were sent to gitmo because in places like Afghanistan and Iraq people are paid good sums of money to turn over "suspected" terrorists. Often times people turn of neighbors they don't like or business competition for the reward. Also note "suspected" and not actual terrorist.

If you will go back and read my comment I did NOT say that we didn't have anyone that we had detained. I said that the video doesn't prove anything. Just as we are innocent until proven guilty, the terrorists or suspected terrorists get the same rights. You really need to educate yourself a little more friend before you go spouting about things which you know very little about.
