not really. i've met plenty people who do amazing things on PS. I guys that have gone to art institutes, gotten degrees. In all honesty, I give them credit for the ability to use PS so well. Hell, there's even those who draw realism very well. But see, then you tell these very same people to draw something from their imagination. To render a good proprtionate anatomy body... and they fail. As I said, anyone, with enough time, can draw from still life. You're just copying. But to create...

Copying is a great ay to learn. And the use of photoshop is just a step up in technology. For example; many concept artists and animators are now digitally creating their work, some years back, they would be using traditional medium. The use of software like photoshop makes work more conveniant, clean and much less time consuming. But, just because it's more conveniant to go digital does not mean it is more easy to paint, it is just as hard as traditional medium. So, this is "drawing for real".
