I completely agree with you. I bought this album after hearing one of their songs used in a commercial and once I heard the entire album I immediately thought of Hopper. I thought I was the only one who may have made the connection. Thanks for posting this.

Well done. I have enjoyed the "Hats" album for many years.
The Blue Nile was one of the many little known artists that I
was exposed to while working at the Oakbrook Center (IL)
Musicland. The job had it drawbacks but I certainly heard
a lot of good music that I would never have heard on the
radio or seen on MTV. The only Edward Hopper painting
I was familiar with was Nighthawks which was in the 1970
Masterpiece Art Auction Game.

Strange. Did you know that New York's streets were designed in blocks as a result of the glaswegian architects poached by the city founders. Thinking about it, Glasgow is very similar to Hooper's views, just on a smaller scale. No mean city

You have combined two of my favourite artists in a really imaginative and haunting way. I will watch this many, many times. Just as both Hopper and the Blue Nile are so unique and creative in their ways, your piece of work and vision in putting this together and creating a narrative for the viewer that encapsulates to well the atmosphere of both (separated though they were by several decades)is a remarkable work in its own right. Congratulations on something quite incredible - and thank you.
