after viewing this, my heart was broken into pieces... the fact that i'm just a few towns away from municipality of escalante now a city. yes, i've learned from my social studies class about this event when i was in high school 16 years ago, but i never thought that this tragedy was as cruel as this. i was just eight years old when this incident transpired... worst of all, my brother was married to a distant relative of mayor lumayo, the very same mayor who's responsible for all of this.

sa harap mismo ng bahay namin yan nagyari.. i was 3 then..grabe talaga ang daming tao pumilit na pumasok sabahay yung iba putol yung binti..grabe talaga pumasok pa kaming lahat sa banyo kasi it was the only part of the house that was cemented..meron pa dung pumasok na dalawang babae naghubot-hubad sa harap namin para maligo sa kati ng tear gas..grabe talaga yon..

Wow,it's my 1st time to view Escalante Massacre(i was 10 yrs old then).
It's good to remember the past but not healthy to linger on it.What's done has been done and it happened on such a certain period of time in our history.
We're doing transformation now in our place.The place is now one of the progressive cities in Negros Occidental.
Escalante is now a good place for tourism and business opportunities!We'll gonna make it to the top,and we will never stop...'til we can make it!!!
