The Beach Boys were BIG KT fans...Al Jardine said that the BB's striped shirts were a direct result of the Kingston Trio look. The layered vocal harmonies were similar, and of course the Beach Boys covered Sloop John B (which was on the first KT album).

It's a pity that most popular music lovers have no clue about the Kingston Trio's influence. Far more than any other root American group, they changed the direction music would follow. They even influenced the Beatles to a degree.

I may be 31 years old, but I'm a huge fan and have been since 2000 or so. This is the first I've ever got to see really good footage of them. After seeing their smiling faces on the LP jackets all these years, it's a treat to see how they actually acted onstage. Dave sure has an amimated face, dosen't he?

This is great! I'm 42 and grew up listening to my Dad's KT albums & Brothers Four albums (among others). I don't listen often but it's always great when I do. Thanks for posting this by the way - one of my fave's.

I am only 25, but Kingston Trio was my dad's absolute favorite band followed by Peter Paul and Mary. My dad passed away a year ago and I haven't heard any of this music in years. It is amazing that you can still find this stuff on the internet. I am the only person I know who has ever heard of Kingston Trio or Peter Paul and Mary for that matter... I hate to think that this music will probabily be obsolite in a few years.

Love the Kingston Trio It is so sad that Nick Reynolds and Dave Guard , John Stewart have passed away. But their music will live on.
