For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto [Chapter 1]

Uploaded by: misesmedia
Video Description:
In "For A New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto," Murrary Rothbard proposes a once-and-for-all escape from the two major political parties, the ideologies they embrace, and their central plans for using state power against people. Libertarianism is Rothbard's radical alternative that says state power is unworkable and immoral and ought to be curbed and finally overthrown.

Most Americans have to short an attention span. They will never take time to try and understand these principles that our country was built on.
That's why we are in the shape we are in now.

Libertarians want everyone to choose for themselfes what they should do with their money. Most Libertarians actually likes the idea of charity. What they don't like, is that the government should have power over the charities. The power should belong to the people!

Libertarians are just ashamed-republicans-in-hiding with an extra dose of greed thrown into the mix.
Do us all a favor and shut the fuck up & go hide in your US Flag jammies & suck on your independent thumb while dreaming of fiscal responsibility while we set to work fixing all the damage that your fiscal responsibility nutjob ideology about has done to turn our country into a Hellish mess of uncared for sick children, ruined airlines & public transit systems, dead factories & falling bridges.
Before the national ... ( 4 months ago by leitermann)
Before the national income tax & wellfare we were one of the most prosperous nations. People who visited the United States marveled at the fact that for just about every service normally provided by the government, there was a private organization or charity run by volunteers to replace it.
Take the healthcare crisis. Imagine if the overwhelming reaction of calling for more gov aid was replaced by supporting private charities. Why ask permission from beurocracies to give money to sick people?
Would you call Bush ... ( 4 months ago by leitermann)
Would you call Bush "fiscally conservative"? He has spent more taxpayer money than every other previous president combined. That's why our economy is in shambles. that's why we can't afford to fix bridges & healthcare, & that's why there's a mass exodus of industries like rats from a sinking ship. Our great grandchildren are in debt to the Chinese.
The Iraq war costs the average American family 275$ a month. Imagine the impact of that when those stimulus checks boosted income 1.9%.

The money currently paid into the system would be honored, so it's mute argument.
The argument is should the kid who is going to start working for the first time, start having social security taken out of his check for the next 60 years, or should he be allowed to spend and save his money how he sees fit.
If we encouraged saving & investing, people would retire much wealthier, then relying on the pittance the SS provides.

Apparently your a douche, since I don't know you and your cussing at me.
1. Where does any money come from? It comes from US.
3. The government doesn't create money, it either borrows or it taxes.
4. Right now if we had the money we were paying in interest alone on the national debt, then we could pay off all future SS debts.
5. Your a freak if you think that the dems and reps as a unit didn't get us into this mess. Somehow blaming a party that has absolutely no control is inane.

Funny how those who do not pay attention to the past are doomed to repeat it.
I also firmly believe any point you could possibly make I can easily debate.
You on the other hand result to "i'm more popular than you" and "long live social security" which I am still amused by the latter. That is just funny.
I am glad your the type of person who is counting on SS to survive, because the punishment fits the crime.
