But fact is fact, injustices were done by West Pakistan to East Pakistan, so nation broke. If West Pakistanis had given even some power to East Pak, this wud've never happened. simple cause and effect theory.
even if they are not appologising, deep down, they know something went wrong from their side. otherwise, they are just insane if they dont accept the mistakes and use harsh words.
I never encountered people in my circle ever not feeling apologetic. i know about Karachi that they regret history but i dont know about the rest of Pakistan and punjab.
There is a swear word in Bangladesh that used to be used, the word is "KISSINGER!".
Just as there is a perception about India's and Russian input, there's also a perception from Bangladesh that the US and China had parts 2 play in this as well. The US vetoed UN action 4 many months and India used this as a pretex!
But remember that Pakistan openly and directly attacked India first in a preemptive strike on Indian airfields. Whats more shameful was that this strike was copied from Israelis pre-emptive strike on Syria, Jordan & Egypt in the famous six day war.
Formation of Bangladesh clearly demonstrated that religion alone can't unite people. For human beings to come together there should be a higher common purpose or a threat.
It is time that India, Pakistan, Bangladesh should get together to solve our common miseries of poverty, disease, illiteracy. Old prejudices that separate us have to be eliminated. World is fast merging into a global village.
India of course had an interest in Bangladeshi independence.
The interests are from a political, strategical, economical and of course humanitarian point of view.
Not only did Indians give their lives for Bangladesh independence, they were also attacked by a West Pakistani air force who objected to Indian covert support of the Mukti Bahini.
It was this attacked that justified full indian involvement - a miscalculation by Pakistan.
