My grandfather landed on normandy. he hates to talk about the war because it scarred him. he was a land sergeant. he also fought in the battle of St. Lowe and battle of the bulge etc

Why the Marine Hymn? The Marines did not land at Normandy, it was the United States Army. Nice video though.

Wrong. There were no "Marine combat engineers" at Normandy. The combat engineers who went ashore at D-Day were the US Navy Seabees (Naval Construction Battalions)... NAVY combat engineers, not Marines.

I just got back from Normandy today, visiting all the landing beaches. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but i'm so glad i went, i learnt a lot.

Very nice video, thank you for posting it. My family and I took a trip in 2007 to the Normandy beaches and the surrounding area. I am so glad that we went. To think of what all those soldiers went through...well we just have no idea. Thank you to all our veterans and to those who are serving in the military now.
