Police in Henderson released the videos to The Associated Press on Tuesday. (July 15)When a gunman opened fire at this Kentucky plastics plant ---- he killed five people before taking his own life....Now --- weeks after the incident---police have released this surveillance video that documents several horrifying minutes inside the factory. Police say this is the shooter ---- 25-year-old Wesley Higdon. [Notes:zoom into security camera image of higdon] Video from the plant lunchroom shows Higdon aiming at a man sitting at a table, who falls from his chair after being shot. Another camera ----on the factory floor shows a worker falling to the ground --apparently hit...Higdon runs out of view.Investigators believe Wesley Higdon called his girlfriend from the plant about two hours before he went on a shooting rampage------- and told her he *was* going to kill his supervisor. Higdon, had been previously scolded for talking on his cell phone--- and failing to wear safety glasses.Atlantics Plastics employs about 150 people ---- the company's CEO has called this incident ---a total shock.

You don't need a gun to kill alot of people by yourself. Nothing is stopping you from jumping in your car and plowing down a whole 1st grade class, or a bunch of old ladies. A car is a tool, like a gun. It can be easily mis-used. Should we outlaw them too?
Do the aborigines over there wear blue or red outfits and shoot each other regularly? The "aborigines" over here do.... They aren't sitting around blowing diggery-doos, thats for sure.
They account for alot of the mis-use stats. ;)

a cars main function transportation. a guns function is to kill. semi auto+ weapons are for killing people. we have gun laws here prohibiting semi and hand guns, guns for hunting and farmers can still be held by permits. we live in different worlds my friend, your soloution to gun problems sounds like it is more guns. our prime minister was strong enough to bring in laws getting our guns destroyed after our worst massacre ever. if your president tried that, he'd probably get shot. more guns!!

you could use the same arguement for fire, "ban fire cause you could burn someone with it", or pens,or or plastic bags, or forks, or cookies "ban cookies you could shove them down someones throat till they died'. guns are for killing dude, thats that, and maybe if you have them around a lot, its more likely you'll think about using them. you live in a gun culture socitey, you're actually defending guns, i hear your points, but to me it's so crazy, but thats your world. good luck to you brother.

So say we ban them today. And go turn my guns in. But the red/blue American "aborigines" don't. You know why they don't because they are criminals... You still didn't take the "bad" guns off the street... You just left me and my family unprotected, because although you may be able to choke a defenseless person to death with a cookie, you aren't defending you family with one. And ANYONE who has had to deal with the police knows better than to expect them to be anywhere around when you need them.

I never said that there aren't plenty of assholes out here with guns that they shouldn't have. I understand that.
The guy in this video for example.
But since guns have ALWAYS been here, and bad guys already have them... It's too late for gun ban that is aimed at stopping crime.
We had an assault weapons ban before... Didn't do shit except make it harder for law-abiding citizens to get a gun. Criminals can get guns easy, a ban could never stop them.
They'd import them like drugs.

it's true we don't have the problems your country does, as i said, you live in a gun culture, there seem to be so many guns in your country. there have been many roads we started to walk down that america was leading the way for us, some good, some bad, i'm just glad we pulled out of the gun culture one while we had the chance, we still have them, but not nearly as many. still, the ideal would be no guns anywhere surely you must agree?

There was no reason to release this video for the media to play it over and over. It served no purpose except to further the pain of the families. With the clothes the victims were wearing imagine the shock when the family turned on the tv to see their loved one murdered like that. It's just sad and uncalled for.

Well not quite..Guns don't kill people alone it's the criminals and schizoids with them that do..A gun sitting on a shelf can't harm you! It's not guns that's bad but certain people are..Sadly until they snap we never know..What is the answer is mind reading technology so police could arrest these people before they do their crimes but that is so far off for now unless we get better technology and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

It's true. The facts are pretty clear: UK 0.15 gun deaths per 100,000 population. USA 3.98 (2001/ 2002). It seems clear that with millions of guns freely available you get more than 25 times more deaths. Simple maths. I prefer living in the lower risk place.

guns don't kill people, people kill people. it's the most used and tired defence of the gun lover. people invented guns to kill people, why didn't people just stick to swords?, because they could kill so many more with a gun. it's not just schizoids, its the man next door, it's the boy at your kids school. if they didn't have guns they wouldn't be able to kill as many, as easily. americans are so stuck in fear. i hear gun sales are skyrocketing over there.

Well if you want to have guns at least learn how to use them and keep them locked up. Last thing we need is another story about how some stupid kid got into their parents gun cabinet. Went to school and took out the faculty.Or some idiot's gun "accidentally" went off because they're stupid.I lived in states with loose gun laws. Of course a gun on a shelf can harm you! If there's a gun in the near you are so much more likely to just get that gun an hurt other or even yourself in an extreme situation. good job going to school man.. but people gotta deal with life you can't just go around killing people for no reason, defense is the only reason IMO... I know several people who work 2 or 3 jobs fulltime, getting like 2-3 hours or no sleep a night it's crazy
