if you listen to it carefully, you can hear the open strings playing under the high notes.
same thing happens if you play a string and slowly lower your finger onto the string, essentially reducing the vibration causing a higher pitch of note.
geetarwanabe, you are talking about harmonics in general. What Don Ross does at around 01:59 is not a normal 12 fret harmonics. It has higher pitch.
and i'm not talking about harmonics in general, when i said increase the height of your finger. i meant increase the height from where it would normally be from harmonics position.
it is a 12 fret harmonic, but with increase HARMONIC fingering height level and increased intensity. it just takes practise to get the right height to get a higher pitch than normal. but what i said is true
