Just out of curiousity.　What makes koreans such game freaks?　Well I also like playin games but as a whole nation,thats kinda weird.There are some nations close to koreans in terms of culture,other stuff like Japan,china,etc.However the last thing japanese people care would be games.Looking forward to hearing from koreans some reasonable answers.

I'm sure that there are plenty of Japanese people that are just as much of a video game freak as the people that can be heard in the background of this video (I'm not saying all of Japan is made up of video game freaks, mind you). Pretty much anywhere you go you'll find video game freaks.

True but before you make your assumptions, make a quick search to make sure if what guy defends is true or not. South Korea is considered as a game freak country. The whole nation is known to be game fans. But not the same in other similar cultures. Of course there are some game freaks in every country. But this is about antire nation. I am just asking the reason since I am sure this is not about culture

The marine in this clip says "finally, I'm here", similar to one of the character lines from the original... not quite the same as the English trailer, where he says "hell, it's about time."
In response to the guys talking about Korean obsession with "Star", when I was there from '98 to 2000, it was by far the most popular game in any "PC bang", or net cafe. I think it was much less uncool among Koreans to play a game like that at an older age than it would be in the States.
