Video Description:
The news was actually made and announced in 1960s when the US military launched for the first time a radio technology called Synchronous Detection intended to improve mission critical reception of AM radio signals. Two decades later SONY commercially introduced this technology on its new generation of chip-based transistor radio SONY ICF-2001D/2010 that had been in continuous production for 17 plus years since 1985. What SONY does with its unique Synchronous Detection is make ECSS ( Exalted Carrier Selectalbe Single Side-band ), for selecting the more usable carrier out of the two at work during transmission, an automatic process. The achieved results are cleaner reception less or void of adjacent channel interferences and improved audio quality free of fluctuations typical of AM transmission especially during fadings.
