Monster bug
Uploaded by: stefanbowers
Video Description:
My wife, brother and I encountered this huge, very strange insect on my father's porch in Fredericksburg, Texas. It was almost midnight, and we'd had a few beers, but it turned out to be real anyway!

They are aquatic insects in the Order Neuroptera (which also includes lacewings and ant-lions). Harmless to beneficial.
Scarrry bugs T-T
when you were playing with it...it was all attacking your hand, wtf?
If you find a female of the species, though, do NOT let it bite you. Their jaws are short and powerful, and are quite capable of shearing flesh.
