yea i went 2 this reenactment but i missed the morning battle and yea they practice they just shoot randomly when they gte the call to fire at will and that means fire whenever ur ready and as quick as u can

that depends on the orders... sometimes they fire volleys. but on this vid they mostly fired at will.

I want to go so bad to one of these, but it is always so hot and I get sick in the heat. And it's hard to see... any recommendations?

Dring water and nothing but water. If you need to take salt pills to keep you thirsty. You gotta drink so much cold water till you cant drink anymore. Also, when your not doing anything, loosen up your clothes and stay cool. Thats about all you can do. If you absolutely need to, bring modern equipment to keep you cool. All the summer fighting is about keeping cool. But like I said before, Drink water and nothing else. well coffee is ok, but other then that, water.

Just curious are you in the 1st Arkansas Battalion? Cumberland Guard is a Federal Reenacting Battalion that crw is referring to.

I can't believe I missed this event, I'm normally eastern theatre, but some comrades of mine wanted to make Perryville. Hands down, best re-enactment footage I've seen in years! Will definitely try and make it out next year!

I'm in the 1st Arkansas Battalion as well, the 7th Arkansas...I was planting wheat on our farm that morning..hate that I missed it!I looking forward to Gettysburg 08!!!

Will you be at the Pea Ridge living history in March? My group will be there if you want to fall in with us if the 7th isnt going as a group.

probably not, i think my next event will be sikeston, MO the first weekend of March and then it's probably going to be back to work for me...is anyone in the 15th going to Pennsylvania? I beleive the battalion is going to rent some buses that should make it cheaper...
