WOW! I envy anyone hearing Public Enemy for the first time. When I first heard them it blew my mind. The first song I heard was "Don't Believe the Hype". I think it was in 1987. I turned on the radio and flipped through the stations and I heard something so funky and strange. It was like nothing I ever heard in my life. I popped a tape (ah the good ol' days!) into my boom box and recorded it. I told all my friends and got them into P.E.! Nothing today even comes close.
