As an American "white guy" who read everything Iris Chang ever wrote, the news of her suicide almost blew me off my chair. What a brilliant young lady she was. She had so much more to offer. I wish I knew how to find out more about what prompted the suicide but, if we're going to wish, let's wish someone had been there to stop it.

Do you have a source to that claim that she was in contact with the CIA? The wikipedia source claims that fellow researches that worked with her on her books, that she was becoming more depressed the more interviews and research she did on the topics she was doing.

In fact all the sources that I have researched on her and the husband interviews not once state she was in contact with or in deep shit with the CIA. One of her suicide notes though she feels like a higher power is controlling her and she doesn't know who and says maybe its the CIA or someone else. She felt that her being checked into a mental facility by her own family friends was actualy a gov. plot to discredit her. She was suffering depression and nervous breakdowns from her research.

(3)Why did the　Safety Zone Committee say Nanking's population was 200,000 pre-occupation and 250,000 afterwards?
