That's a good question. But I think that with the OG heros, it isn't true. **Hope...hope...hope...** but then again, if they ever made a story where that was true, I think that in itself would be an interesting plot.

If the FCC or who ever they were didn't butt in, batman would be a "spawning" killer. Or Marv from sin city.
But then again, the whole point about not killing is that once you start, it's hard to stop. I guess batman would make sure that they truely are evil before he kills them but what happens when he does kill an innocent?

If that didn't happen, batman would be killing people like spawn, if yer familiar with the comic. Sorta like Marv if you saw sin city.

Batman used to carry a gun, sure, but I don't know about killing. Also Batman didn't stop carrying said gun because the FCC was on the writer's tail, but because it condridicted his character. You know...gun violence ruins his life therefore he would never do that to another person.
So no, Batman wouldn't be a killer regardless.

Also, when Luthor says all of Superman's methods would involves deadly force, that's silly. Superman could eye beam or freeze breath Luthor's hand, or throw one of the pens on the desk into it.

Come on! Like Kane had the bats all figured out in the beginning. I'll bet he killed a few people. something along the lines of Keaton in the first batman. After all, we are talking 1938 here. He probably didn't figure the "You know...gun violence ruins his life therefore he would never do that to another person." part until a couples of volumes in.

lex wants controll, he had controll over everyone and almost everything. but he couldnt controll superman (not because of his power, but his will) so luthor does all this to use and piss superman off. later on in the series luthor drops his superman obsession and puts his sights on a higher prize "godhood" and he did it , thenhe lost it. then gained it again and that was the last episode. he has the antimatter equation..he can controll antimatter...now thats true power.

Nope. All I'm talking about is keeping him from pressing the button, and Superman could do that with a sneeze, without even harming him. If he froze his hand, however, that would be significantly painful, and I don't think Luthor would feel up to it after that.
Also, Superman could paralyze Luthor, making him a vegetable but technically leaving him alive.

There's no good without evil. Besides, the good VS evil scenario indfluenced my own screenplay involving it, and hopefully, it would lead to a show on TV, with perhaps an epiode with two guys like Superman and Luthor having such confrontation leading to "I DID love being a hero, but if this is where it leads, I'm done with it" and the killing, but it turns out to be an alternate reality.
