Care to point out where I'm wrong? Wm. Shirer, in his book THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, points out that Hitler united RIGHT WING GROUPS. The Roman Catholic Church is NOT LEFT WING, but it supported Franco, Mussolini, and signed a pact with the Nazis in 1933 - even helped war criminals escape. If lefties can tell you what to do, so can righties. In my hometown, it was the Birch Society, always banning books and telling people they were unpatriotic, un-American!

Is it possible to argue with someone who sides with a historical revisionist such as Goldberg? These people will latch onto anything that legitimizes and absolves the fascistic intent of the authoritarian lunatic fringe who have hijacked the Republican party in the name of God.
They are afraid to face the facts, so they hire guys like Goldberg and Corsi to change the facts. Besides, what are the chances that people like WCScum will do any fact checking?

He doesn't care to point out where I'm wrong, because I cite historical fact. The Catholic church is NOT LEFTWING, BUT IT SUPPORTED FASCIST REGIMES - FACT. Rightwing American businessmen (H.Ford, Prescott Bush, Lindburgh, etc.) all played footsie with Fascists regimes, as did Bill Buckley - FACT. Fascist support extreme NATIONALISM/Big Bus., commies support INTERNATIONALISM & state owns everything. On the right, you go from Conservative to John Bircher to KKK to Fascist to racist Nazi.

Also heard recently that not only is the right in Spain upset that the gov't is exhuming the bodies of leftist killed under Fascism of Gen. Franco, but also that far right-wing groups in Latin America are STILL HIDING OLD NAZIS FROM JUSTICE. It was the church under Pope Pius XII (called "Hitler's Pope" by many) that helped smuggle old Nazis out of Europe and out to S. America in the late 40s and early 50s. Maybe this man needs to look at who supported Fascists - always people on the right.

Again, please show me where anything I posted is not historical fact. Pius XII was known as "Hiter's Pope," and the church DID HELP NAZIS ESCAPE. Fascism does allow for captialism, & in fact capitalists thrive under fascism, examples being big corporations like I.G. Farbin & Krupp Steel. Left-wing Americans went to Spain in the '30s and FOUGHT FASCISM, while Hitler & Mussolini FOUGHT FOR FRANCO, WHO BECAME DICTATOR, supported by RC Church. Nothing there that is not historical fact! READ!

It's a misnomer, like People's Republic of China. Europeans use the term socialism in many movements, like Christian Socialist Party. Hitler took care of any lefties in Germany, from Socialists to Commies. He had left-leaning teachers arrested and shot. Nazis on the left...good grief, what next. Talk about the perfect book for the age of the dumbing down of America!

If you read the entire book you would have understood what he was trying to say. The title is provacitive but it does get people's attention but it points out that the far left can trace the intellectual history to the more fascist movements of the early 20th century.
The guy actually bends over backwards in the book to clarify that liberals are not NAZIs and even points out how modern conservatives and libertarians have adopted some of the beliefs of progressives.

Private capitalist DID control the means of production. There is NOTHING liberal about Nazism, or even "left leaning." The average German worker made LESS in '36 than in '32! He outlawed unions, did away with the right to strike, and sent labor leaders to Dauchau in May of '33. He was LOVED by the German middle class (very conservative, as are most middle class people), and private property was allowed. No part of Nazism even REMOTELY resembles TRE socialism!! If so, where?

TRUE socialism would benefit the working classes - interesting in that several historians have pointed out that while Hitler was LOVED by the conservative middle class, when he would visit a city like Hamburg (the least Nazi city, unlike Munich) where the workers had been "Red" before 1933, his SS guard would close ranks for fear of assaasination, as they did in lower class sections of Berlin. Many of these old reds welcomed the commie soldiers in '45 & were given good jobs in postwar Germany.
