Video Description:
"Moonlight Serenade" is an American popular song with original music by Glenn Miller and subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was originally named "Now I Lay Me Down To Weep." When Miller recorded "Sunrise Serenade" in 1939, he placed this song on the back. It was an immediate phenomenon as an instrumental arrangement and was adopted as Miller's signature tune.
The most striking part of the piece was its use of clarinet-led saxophone section, which is widely considered the classic Glenn Miller style. The first eight bars of the melody follow the form of the 12-bar blues. The song is a premier example of the American big-band sound from the mid-twentieth century.

My mom got me into big band quite a few years ago. Although I usually am into classic rock, this is a welcome change of pace.
I will be 45 in late January 2009, and Mom will be 80 in May 2009 - she still looks no older than 55!
It's a shame that Mr. Miller was lost over France during World War 2 - what he could have done had he survived the war!

Pasa desde siempre, estas son piezas clasicas de la musica por la dulzura de sus notas, sin embargo son clasicas por que sobrevivieron a su epoca, ahora, bueno, desde siempre la musica cambia, a veces se crea un gran recuerdo y casi siempre se crea algo incierto, lo importante no es el genero, si no que la musica o cancion haga sentir algo no solo a tu corazon, sino a tu espiritu. Ahi no importa que genero sea, desde un solo de guitarra electrica o un solo de saxofon y disfrutarla y Conservarla.
