I remember going to the movie theatre and watching this film as a kid... I think this film, and Dirk Bogarde's swooning at the piano, inspired me to start playing the piano... I thought I would live my life in a tuxedo and go to piano concerts almost every night... hey, I was juist a dumb kid! I still like this film! thanks for posting this little treasure!

He claimed in his autobiography that he actually had to learn the piece and played it live all over europe. there were nearly 200 minutes music. is it really likely that he did that ! He was a fraud and possibly the worst actor ever to come out of england.
