Also snipers need to take into account different wind speeds, velocity and distance. Modern times its easy to know because snipers are paired up, but in Vietnam it'd be a whole different story, lone sniper in a stressful situation (The war) with the added problem of trees, strubbery etc.

Haven't you read about WWII. They were deployed in France, where Hitlers Nazi's were stationed while they invaded different lands.
Basically. Probably one of my favorite scenes in this movie also.
