Blacks could only address white as "master". Blacks were not allowed to own any land. Blacks were never allowed to vote. Black politicians were put injail, killed and disappeared. Blacks did not have a future under the Apartheid regime.

Harry Belafonte was with her then and had helped to smuggle her out of South Africa, six months before as she was facing prosecution for loving a White South African.She was a classy woman with an awesomely haunting voice and very gracious soul.I'm honoured by having known her
