Released by EMI Records on Monday 17 September, the double DVD contains over five hours of viewing, including an on-the-road documentary and guest appearances by David Bowie and Robert Wyatt.
One critic described David Gilmour's 'On An Island' Royal Albert Hall concert, as 'a near-perfect gig, where the magic kept coming, as did the surprises'. Now music fans, who may have missed the 2006 tour, get a chance to share in that magic, with the release of this double DVD, lasting more than 5 hours, which includes the rave reviewed London concert with special guest appearances from David Bowie, Robert Wyatt, David Crosby and Graham Nash as well as 2 hours and 40+ minutes of extras, notably an amazing fly on-the-wall documentary following Gilmour and his band on tour. A 20-page booklet accompanies the DVD.
The two and a half hour concert features band members Richard Wright of Pink Floyd, Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, new boy Steve DiStanislao on drums, plus Pink Floyd regulars Dick Parry, Guy Pratt and Jon Carin.

You should do your research before you post ignorant comments like that. David Gilmour was the first artist and encouraged everybody who got record sale boosts from Live Aid to contribute them to the same cause. Pink Floyd sales went up by 1000's, it was insane, and he donated all the money to the same cause.
Also, when Gilmour sold his multi million dollar mansion he donated all of the money to charity as well.

You so wrong. It irks me. Gilmour is anything but a right winger. His solo song Cruise is an attack on Reagan's cruise missles. Dogs of War is a diatribe directed at the Reagan administration. On the Turning Away is a plea to recognize poverty. Take it Back and Pocketful of Stones warn about global warming. Waters and Gilmour fell out because Roger thought he was Pink Floyd and that David was nothing more than a session musican.

2. Waters wrote the concept behind Animals, but Gilmour states that its almost his album completely, as he was behind nearly all the music.

where as the guy who said gilmour was behind all the music is totally wrong (Gilmour had little or no involvement in any track except dogs, the best one i might add).
