| That was a most enjoyable ride. The English countryside is beautifl. The beach at Swanage looks so much like California near Monterery. And the ferry! I have only been on one a couple of times near Seattle. That area looks a lot like Sandy Hook in Jersey or parts of Cape Cod. Not many ferrys here, in Virginia, they would build a bridge over that little pond (back when they had money). |

| Thanks for that! The ferry takes cars and buses across the busy mouth of Poole Harbour, from Shell Bay to Sandbanks. Sandbanks is famous for having among the most expensive land prices anywhere on Earth. The ferry is guided by chains on the sea floor, which pass over big pulleys in the hull. |
