Why are we bad guys? US guys are not any better. Made East Germany? German brought it upon themselves, shouldn't have attacked Soviet Union in the first place. Maybe Eastern Europe was corrupt all the time but my parents and grandparents grew up IN the Soviet Union and they said it was a nice plays.

Your an idiot. Soviet Union bothered no one before the war. Even if you did ganged up with him and defeated USSR he would turn against Britain and US anyway and win because without the Russians Britain and US were nothing against Germany.

My Grandfather Harv was in that battle he was shot in the throat and the only reason he lived was because the snow slowed down the bleeding.. He was my hero he used to talk in a real deep voice and smoke pall mall 100's everybody used to call him Harv the Butcher they do not make men like that anymore I only hope by doing my best I could have a chance do kick it with him in heaven.

My grandfather was in the Bulge, first as a medic, then moved to Marksman on the frontlines. He made it through the battle, but their jeep hit a landmine, and some man (who he never found) encountered him, the only living survivor, and carried him 12 miles on his back to an aid station. : /

My grandfather was also in this battle. but i nevr heard his story. he nevr talks about it. my mom said she asked him about his story in this battle. he tried to talk about it but he just choked up and started to cry, and he nevr tried telling anyone about the battle of the bulge again. he is still alive to, he is 90 somthing.

I was a Paw bearer for a WWII vet that was there just this last summer 2008 - he told me one story of the battle of an Indian in his company that was in charge of the mortar - he said that the Germans were so close, that the indian had the mortar pointed almost straight up - the were both located on top of a house protected from enemy fire by the smoke stack fo the house. I can't fathom the thought of being that close and able to walk away as the victor.

Both my grandfathers fought in this battle, albeit in different units. One of them was in 106th Infantry, and the other one was in the 99th(I believe his unit was known as the Checkerboard division). I asked both of them about it, one of my grandfathers actually said it was the 1st time in his life he really did start praying to God with sincerity. The other one was a courier in the 106th; from what I have heard he was quite lucky to make it out alive.
