| Was Peiper who we beat at the Battle of the Bulge etc and some other German commanders second rate. Peiper won battles on the Eastern Front and we whipped him overall at the Bulge especially from Stavelot onward and we were outnumbered at the Battle of the Bulge from the start and at Bastonge and we won. We won other battles in France also. Normandy was not just the only battle, we won at Cherbourg, Brest, Caratan. |

| We also defeated Germans in Italy and North Africa too, Kesserling in Italy for example. Our worst defeat to the German army was Kasserine Pass from there on when we fought the Germans we either won or stalemated. And we were fighting another powerful opponent in Japan who was whipping the allies before we entered. No USA, no victory for allies. USA and Soviet Union did the most damage to the axis with Britain 3rd. USA did the job militarily and economically. We fought all over the world. |

| Well telkines your are right somewhat. Soviets did the most damage to the Nazis but they still needed help. The Soviets pressed the British and Americans to open up a second front in North Africa to take pressure of the Russian front. Germans would have beat the Russians if it wasn't for USA |

And it was 75 to 80 percent not 85%, there was tough fighting in North Africa, Italy, Western Europe plus we were were the primary reason Japan was defeated, if it wasn't for us winning Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal the allies would have been in trouble. We fought in every type of terrain and climate, I like to see Russians and Germans fight in the jungle like we did and have success. |

| Yes the panzer Tiger V1 was a great tank no doubt so was the Russian T-34 and our Shermans were allright but not the best. And most of the allied air power was American in the war ans we were the primary supplier t othe allies. Telkines the Germans were not defeated until the Russians went on the offensive after Stalingrad and until mostly USA and Britain defeat Germans in North Africa and Italy. |

| The Germans were REALLY defeated after the Liberation of France. Our victory at the Battle of the Bulge saved Western Europe from Soviet domination because even if the Germans would have won the bulge they eventually would have been defeated by the Russians anyway. |
