I don't really see how Saving Pvt Ryan was cheesy :/
But the Viet's in the movie's were always killed right there, like at the near end of the movie, the U.S soldiers were sharging up the hill then.....BAM.. the Viets die.
It just didnt seem like a crazily intense movie, but i still enjoyed wathcing it.

at the end, you know, the guy is crying in front of the grave, with his typical american family behind him, and the american flag. Kind of cheesey
And yeah, the viets died because, they were all massacred by the choppers. Like you were expecting the soldiers to get blown away as they charged but then BBLLLBBBTTTTT!!!!! all the vietnamese get machine gunned. I thought it was intense.

it seemed more realistic when Mel Gibson cried in We Were Soldiers. Jesus, is it that hard to fucking satisfy you!!???? We Were SOldiers pulled off a GREAT ending, I don't know what's wrong with you!!!

LISTEN! We Were Soldiers was more realistic and less Hollywood fantaztniz than Saving Private Ryan. SPR is GREAT movie, but I feel it is inferior in many ways to We Were Soldiers (although damn, the Omaha Beach scene was great). That's why WWS is on the top of my list.
Now try to understand my opinion and why it is valid... unless I have to fly over to wherever you live and pop a cap in you one brain cell.

You can kind of generally tell, I find, if a movie is realistic or not. Plus I read a review of we were soldiers and this war veteran of vietnam said that the movie portrayed combat just like how it was. So there's MA proof!
