Superman can get power through various means he can get geo thermal energy directly from the planet. He can gain energy from different stars. He can get power from electricity his body absorbs energy to unlock more power that's why he's called Superman, he has every aspect of super human abilities. Speed, durability, strength, energy manipulation and absoprtion he is a jack of all trades so to speak.
