It was a decision based on the intelligence report that stated WMD!!! and it wasnt just our intelligence who came up with this conclusion, the United Nation based on their findings came up with the same report. Desert Storm made perfect sense, we defended Kuwait, and then came home. Operation Joint Guardian and Air Guardian (Kosovo) made sense. There was an actual genocide going on, and it Clinton didn't take us to war there, it was a NATO mission not a US mission. Iraq however makes no sense once the WMDs are out of the equation. I think that you would have a very different opinion if you were a veteran, unfortunately you just seem like a ditto-head. No one can defend the Iraq war. It's BS.

We had a chance to capture Sadam Hussein after Desert Storm, but it was the military leaders and the top minds at the time who decided against going all the way. American troops were involved in the Kosovo War and it was an easy war. The Iraq war was evaluated based on intelligence report provided by the intelligence community. The point is all these wars were done based on international intelligence report. please you do not represent all veterans. Your opinion is yours alone.

Saying that the Iraq war is BS is a pretty accurate representation of most veteran's sentiments on the subject. I get what your saying about J2 offices coming up the with reasons for us to prosecute a war, but why are we in Iraq? The WMD bit has passed? I believe if we decide to go to war, I expect our military to clean up after themselves. What I mean by this as an example what recently occured in Georgia. The Russians just caused over a billion dollars of dammage in that countries infrustructure. I expect Americans to be a responsible nation an fix up the damage in that country.
