Yes and he had a grave of honour for decades in the main Vienna cemetry. Recently the usual crowd of left wing PC brigade on Vienna council withdrew the honour, calling hime a "Nazi flyer". He wasn't - he was just a fighter pilot fighting for a country that he and most of his generation at the time believed in (Greater Germany). You can't change history retrospectively. He had nothing to do with the holocaust and should be respected as a dead fighter ace.

Yes but in Luftwaffe was a lot of semi-czech or germans, which lived in CZ. for example:Franc Woidich (110 KIA), Otto Kittel (267 KIA), Herbert Bareuther (55), Franz Hrdlicka (60 KIA).. Their nationality were german, but their citizenship were Czechoslovak (before 1938) of cource :-)
