Shermans were shit. Under gunned, with a high profile and a rubbish engine, they were no match for a Panther or a Tiger.

The Merkava didn't enter combat service until the early 80's. How could it be fighting in the 50's through to the 70's if it didn't exist?
Germany lost ... ( 10 months ago by ale7q)
Germany lost Stalingrad and Kursk before western allies could interfere (fighting in Africa and lend lease never were crucial).
fighting in africa ... ( 10 months ago by luuko656)
fighting in africa was crucial as it stoped the production of oil for germany, and left itali open for atacks.
Neither Germans nor ... ( 9 months ago by ale7q)
Neither Germans nor Allies devoted significant (compared to other theaters) resources to the desert war. Outcome of Stalingrad and Kursk battles wouldn't be much different had Germans decided not to fight in Africa.

Lol lend lease was ... ( 7 months ago by Mcplkelly)
Lol lend lease was not important. You do realize 66% of all Russian trucks were supplied by lend lease, and they only built 100 of the 2000 locomotive engines that pulled their trains, the rest were lend lease. Also 1 in 5 combat aircraft were western, not to mention vast supplies of food the Russians ate were from the west at a time when the fertile russian land was in German hands. I'd say thats damned crucial.

The video create's ... ( 6 months ago by xMarcAurelx)
The video create's the impression, that the "Panther" and "Tiger" tanks are the most used tanks in the Kursk battle. But from the 2300 German tanks in this battle, only approximately 150 was Tiger's and only 200 was Panther's.
The Panther's has ... ( 6 months ago by xMarcAurelx)
The Panther's has many technical problems, because they where much to early put too the front -> not enough testet, so that only a maximum of 40 Panther's was in available in the battle at the same time. The most used german tank in the Kursk battle was "Panzer IV", many of them version F1 with a short and in 1943 ineffektiv gun against the russian tanks.
Also a hugh number ... ( 6 months ago by xMarcAurelx)
Also a hugh number of "Panzer III" was used, also out of date in 1943. The shown version of the Stuka with 37mm flak-cannons was also only in action in very low numbers.

Lend lease was ... ( 5 months ago by ale7q)
Lend lease was important, but not crucial. It is all relative, depending on how you rank the importance of historical events. In 1941 Red Army failed miserably, despite having substantial material and manpower advantage against Germans.
Overall, lend lease ... ( 5 months ago by ale7q)
Overall, lend lease was a small fraction compared to the war production of USSR. Switching economy to total war production and full scale mobilization (Germans did it later than Russians) was more important than lend lease.
Doesn't fair how ... ( 4 months ago by Dreachon)
Doesn't fair how the ferdinand get's stepped on in every show about kursk just cause it lakced a hull MG, only a small number of them were destroyed by infantry, most were by their own crews when hit a minefield or broke down.
The germans misused the ferdinand at kursk

it didn't have a traversing turret for a tank that is. it should ideally be deployed in defensive tank hunting positions or behind the front line to support offensive.
