I'll check into it, but I am not talking about "gas' bombs from WWI, "fuel air devices" are a different type of technology..First you have to "atomise the liquid, without igniting it, then nano seconds later create the explosion...you are comparing a volkswagen to a Mercedes.!

I could not find any specific dates on who did what first. The germans did experiment with it in WWII, with no useful outcome. It looks like the US & Russia where working on it in the 1960's, and US used them in Vietnam, and the Israeli's used then to clear mine fields as a FAE creates a very powerfull "pressure" wave...as to who was first???..

No. you are right, I was wrong, no big deal, I did wikipedia "fuel air bombs", or FAE, but it really did not give ant specific dates who "invented" the FAE as we know it today..which is a different and more technical than the old "gas" bombs of WWI era

Like the US thought they will make joint air exercise with India and shoot down Indian planes like birds and then sell them aircraft and make money. But oops they lost by 90% margin against refurbished Mig 21, Not even Mig 29 let alone Su30MKI. I think it is time to stop judging others military might and try to win a war. What is the point of having best of everything and spending as much as the whole world does and still cannot win a war.

The Iraq war was won in a month. The Occupation of Iraq was a differant story. The US waged the most successful military campaign in human history. We took the largest amount of land, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of casualties, while inflicting the most amount of damage to primarily military targets. On top of all that we were able to bring almost all the top leaders in or kill them.

The Occupation was another story, we did not anticipate that Saddam would open his armory's and that the civilians would fight for him on the level they did. Also our Generals undersold the amount of soldiers that were needed to occupy the country and oversold the idea that Iraqi's would welcome us with open arms. If we has sent in more than we really needed the outcome would have been more decise and the occupation would have been over quicker.

Another hang up that has dogged the whole situation is that Liberal Democrats that opposed the war have sought every excuse they could to justify their position. From not funding the war, to seizing every oppurtunity to critisize the war. When a leader proclaims the "War is lost" - Harry Reid. This is an example of how politics have become more important than taking care of business. The asshats supported the war, then when it didn't go their way, they turned their backs on it.

At first I used to support what we are doing in Iraq, but over the years my opinion has changed as it took away our concentration on Afghanistan, which should be the priority as Osama and Al-Qaida, need to be taken care of. I think it has been a huge mistake to have got involved in Iraq. Probably on of the biggest military blunders of all time. As it has left business untaken care of and it has got Iran involved in a proxy war with us.
